Show Safe or Safe is the concept of a process that can be safely performed while there is an audience is present.

Blind Mode
A related concept is in some consoles referred to editing in blind mode. LightForge does not directly support editing in blind, and any changes are generally considered not show safe. Typically on other consoles you can have one cue that is controlling the actual DMX output (known as LIVE) while also going into a BLIND mode so you can view and edit other cues (on the screen only, without affecting DMX output) and make changes. And then returning back to the LIVE mode without any unintended output to DMX.
